Hello 2025!
So, 2024 is a wrap.
As is customary, I’m going to jump on the “Year In Review” bandwagon of posts, but I think this is also a good time to look forward at what’s in store for 2025.
So what did I accomplish as far as writerly achievements this past year? Well, obviously the big one is that I published my first ever novel, The Case Of The Cheap Suit Plot. I’m still so proud of this, and it’s been amazing to hear from complete strangers who’ve enjoyed the book. I can’t wait to share more of Chloe and co.’s adventures with the world.
To that end, I also completed edits and formatting on the second book in the Chloe Stewart novels, The Case Of The Dead Man’s Policy. This book is with ARC readers, and it’s on preorder right now!
And while all that was going on, I drafted the manuscripts of the final two Chloe novels, though these probably won’t see the light of day for another year or two.
2024 also saw me grow my mailing list, critique partner relationships, and find new beta readers for my work, all of which I’m grateful for.
Now then, what’s on tap for 2025? Well, as I alluded to already, Dead Man’s Policy is nearing its release date. It’s available starting on March 4th, 2025!
But that’s not all. This year, I plan to release two books – the second and third of the Chloe novels. More details about Book 3 will be coming later this year, but I’m planning/working toward a Fall release.
Lastly, I’m currently outlining a new book, which is separate from the Chloe novels – I’d originally thought of it as a standalone, but let’s be real, I’ll probably wind up with it becoming a duology or a trilogy. I definitely plan to get this drafted in 2025, although when it will be released isn’t something I’m sure about yet. Stay tuned for details.
And there you have it. 2024 had its challenges, as I’m sure this year will, too, but I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
What are your 2025 goals (writing or otherwise?)
